Cassandra Peterson MS, LPC (Colorado) MHC Intern (Florida)

About me

My past experience includes supporting individuals struggling with eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma. Over the past six years, I have worked extensively across various levels of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential settings. This diverse experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and the nuanced needs of individuals at different stages of their recovery journey.

My therapeutic approach is centered on fostering growth in a nonjudgmental and supportive environment. I am committed to attentive listening and genuine support, meeting clients exactly where they are on their path to healing. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify and
change unhelpful or unhealthy patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. This evidence-based approach is tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances, ensuring that the tools and skills developed are most
beneficial for reaching their specific treatment goals.

I firmly believe in the uniqueness of each client and strive to provide personalized care that addresses both physical and emotional healing. My goal is to support and guide my clients toward a healthier, more fulfilling life, helping them to achieve lasting change and growth.
